announced a new Special Interest Group (SIG) for System
Interoperability. The Chairperson is Frank O'Reilly of
Northrop Grumman and the Co-Chairperson is John Petraglia of
Programming Concepts. Meetings will be posted on the LISTnet

The mission of the Systems Interoperability SIG is to explore the
opportunities, considerations, and constraints associated with the
development and operation of network centric environments, assurance
of technical interoperability, and development of architectures that
conform to open technical standards and embody open systems
attributes . The intent is to bring together subject matter experts
from diverse technical companies with the objective of combining
their knowledge base to explore innovative system interoperability
solutions. The topic areas include open architectures, security,
Internet, wireless communication, platforms, operating systems,
storage systems, information management.
