The library bar coding and ILS integrated services include,

• Retrieving items from the ILS system using the ILS bar code.

• Saving the bar code in the ABLE Item record for future retrievals.

• Automatically updating the ILS system with item status using the ABLE Bindery Transfer program.

• Printing bar codes on binding slips.

ABLE™ 6 Bindery Released

The final component of ABLE™ 6 is ABLE™ Bindery.  The new features over v5.1 are:

• Browser applet execution over the internal Intranet (LAN)

• Simplified Graphical User Interface

• Comprehensive online help

• New Cover Image

• Bookmark Support

• EZ-Cut support

• AT-1 Trimmer support for System 3

Library Web Access moves the ABLE™ Library database from the library to the binder's Web Access server.  Library users access their data over the Internet. The initial reviews are extremely favorable.  Once demonstrated, Libraries are requesting immediate access to their ABLE™ database over the Internet.

ABLE™ 6 Library Released for Beta Testing

The ABLE™ Partnership is proud to announce the release of ABLE™ 6 Phase 1 for Beta Testing.  This is a significant milestone in the history of ABLE™.  The release has the following major features:

• Browser User Interface

• Online Documentation
• Catalog System Interface (Z-Link)
• Internet Bindery Information Transfer (via FTP)
• Report file export
• And many more time saving features

The ABLE™ Partnership is proud to announce our new Partner: Information Conservation, Inc.   Information Conservation, Inc. is a major ABLE™ Library user and was one of the ABLE™ binders that contributed to the requirements and success of the original product.
